The Hope Kiwanis Club holds special programs to honor different groups each year. The third program of this series was a salute to law enforcement, elected officials, and public employees. State Representative Brent Talley gave the keynote speech citing recent projects to benefit the community such as Hemptead Hall and the AMTRAK stop and the many hours of community service volunteers provided to make those efforts a reality. He also noted he was honored to be able to serve in the legislature. Music and remarks were also provided by Greg Gilbert. The annual November salute programs are organized by Kiwanian Bob Willis.
