The Hope School Board recently made a change order on the work being done at Jones Field House at Hope High. Superintendent Bobby Hart explains what is being done at the field house. He notes the lobby of Jones Field House is being reworked to serve as the entrance of both the gym and Hammons Stadium. The change order involves two trophy cases being removed from the gym and in their place windows being installed which will look out over the gym floor. This will allow people in the lobby of the gym to follow the action when basketball games are being played. Hart notes the change order is contingent upon the work being completed by August 19th. Work is underway at Hope High to build a large, multi-purpose building which will allow sports teams and the band to practice indoors during inclimate weather. Also new teaching facilities for band, choir, and special education are part of that construction.
